Instructions

  1. Select 4 to 5 ripe mangoes that smell sweet and yield slightly to gentle pressure.
  2. Wash the mangoes thoroughly under cool running water.
  3. Cut the mango flesh away from the large central pit with a sharp knife.
  4. Hold each mango over a bowl while cutting to catch the juices.
  5. Scoop the mango flesh into a blender or food processor.
  6. Add ½ cup granulated sugar.
  7. Add 3 tablespoons fresh lemon juice.
  8. Blend until completely smooth with no visible fruit chunks.
  9. Pour the mango puree through a fine-mesh strainer into a mixing bowl.
  10. Press gently to remove any remaining fibers.
  11. Add 1 cup water to the strained puree.
  12. Add ½ teaspoon vanilla extract if using.
  13. Stir until the mixture is completely uniform.
  14. Pour the mango mixture evenly into Ninja Creami cups.
  15. Leave about ½ inch of space at the top for expansion.
  16. Seal the cups with the provided lids.
  17. Place the cups level in the freezer.
