The Dr Oz pink gelatin recipe for weight loss recipe is a light, creamy no-bake dessert made with strawberry gelatin, cottage cheese, whipped topping, and pineapple for a satisfying sweet treat.

  • Total Time: 3 hours 15 minutes
  • Yield: 8 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 packages strawberry gelatin, 3 ounces each
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • 1 cup cold water
  • 16 ounces small-curd cottage cheese
  • 1 can pineapple chunks, 8 ounces, drained thoroughly
  • 1 container whipped topping, 8 ounces, thawed

Instructions

  1. Pour the strawberry gelatin powder into a large mixing bowl.
  2. Add the boiling water and stir continuously for about 2 minutes until the gelatin dissolves completely.
  3. Pour in the cold water and stir thoroughly to combine.
  4. Allow the gelatin mixture to cool to room temperature for 10-15 minutes.
  5. Refrigerate the gelatin mixture for 30-45 minutes until it reaches a thick, syrupy consistency.
  6. Remove the partially set gelatin from the refrigerator.
  7. Add the small-curd cottage cheese and gently fold until evenly incorporated.
  8. Drain the pineapple chunks thoroughly and fold them gently into the mixture.
  9. Fold in the thawed whipped topping until the mixture is light and evenly combined.
  10. Transfer the mixture into a 9×13-inch dish or individual serving cups.
  11. Cover and refrigerate for at least 3-4 hours until completely set.
  12. Serve chilled directly from the refrigerator.

Notes

Use sugar-free strawberry gelatin for a lower-sugar version. Make sure the pineapple is drained thoroughly, and avoid fresh pineapple unless it has been cooked because fresh pineapple can prevent gelatin from setting.
