Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups whole wheat flour
- 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 tablespoons milk
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, cold
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, mix together whole wheat flour, all-purpose flour, cinnamon, baking soda, and salt.
- In another bowl, combine brown sugar, honey, vanilla, and milk until smooth.
- Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, mixing until it begins to come together into clumps.
- Using your hands, knead the dough until it forms a slightly tacky ball.
- Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and refrigerate for 30-45 minutes.
- Roll out the dough on a floured surface to about 1/8 inch thick. Cut into squares with a pizza cutter or sharp knife. Poke each square with a fork.
- Place crackers on a parchment-lined baking sheet and bake for 12-15 minutes, until edges are golden brown.
- Let cool completely before serving.
Notes
Optional: Add molasses, flaxseed, or coconut sugar for flavor variations. These graham crackers are perfect for s’mores or making crusts.
