Ingredients
Scale
- 1 block cream cheese, softened
- 40 soft caramels (or 1 cup caramel sauce)
- 2 tbsp milk or heavy cream
- 1/2 cup marshmallow fluff or Cool Whip (optional)
- 1/2 cup toffee bits, chopped peanuts, or mini chocolate chips
- 3–4 Granny Smith or Honeycrisp apples, sliced
- 1 tbsp lemon juice + 1 cup water (for apple soak)
Instructions
- Melt caramels with milk or cream in microwave (30-sec bursts, stirring) or on stovetop over low heat until smooth.
- Whip softened cream cheese until smooth. Optionally fold in marshmallow fluff or Cool Whip for extra fluffiness.
- Spread cream cheese evenly in a shallow dish. Pour caramel over the top without mixing.
- Sprinkle toppings such as toffee bits, chopped nuts, or mini chocolate chips.
- Slice apples and soak briefly in lemon water to prevent browning. Drain and pat dry.
- Serve dip with apple slices fanned around or in a bowl on the side. Enjoy immediately.
Notes
For best results, soften cream cheese at room temperature. Use Granny Smith apples for tartness. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge up to 4–5 days. Microwave briefly to soften caramel before serving again.
